Rock and Refuge

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2) In this world of dangers, we all need a rock and a refuge. Until we undergo conversion, we tend to find rocks and refuges that aren't as sturdy as we'd like. God is not a shifting sand or tumbling castle, but a strong rock and a sturdy refuge. But he is not predictable, nor does the protection he gives us always meet our expectations. But once we learn that it is always the best for us, we have begun our conversion.
