Those who have no faith in God find themselves having to rely on something or someone. We all need something to trust in, that will not fail us. So if we do not trust in God, we end up trusting in ourselves, in someone else, or in an idea or object. However, people are frail and, if they do not betray us, they will, in any case, die as will we ourselves. Objects wear out and wear down and ideas fall short because they rely on fallible people to work. Only God can ultimately be trusted to act always for our good, even if it may seem ill at the time. God works all to the good. That idea is trustworthy.
