Becoming

The Catholic Church celebrates the birthdays of three individuals: Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and John the Baptist. We celebrate these birthdays because of the role each of these individuals played in salvation history. The infants born on these days lived out the plan that God had ordained for them. God has a plan for each of us that He wishes us to live out in this world. Just as a newborn becomes an adult, so we who are newborn in our conversion process must become who God created us to be. We are all in the process of becoming saints who will live with God forever. The path that draws us closer to God is the path of conversion.
